VINYL WRAPPING IN DUBAI KITCHENS, WARDROBES, DOORS AND FURNITURE
Vinyl wrapping works Dubai homes and offices book to change a colour without changing a cabinet — kitchens, wardrobes, doors, furniture and counters rewrapped in one to two days, from our Ras Al Khor workshop since 1984.
Vinyl wrapping in Dubai covers kitchen cabinet wrapping, wardrobe and closet wrapping, door and door frame wrapping, furniture and TV unit wrapping, countertop, table and wall wrapping, and office, retail and commercial wrapping. Abdulla Carpentry EST has been doing vinyl wrapping works Dubai-wide since 1984, with free quotation from WhatsApp photographs, a free site visit and a fixed written price before any film is cut.
VINYL WRAPPING COMPANY DUBAI
Vinyl wrapping in Dubai lives or dies on preparation. A vinyl wrap Dubai apartments and villas actually keep for years comes down to two things: the film grade and the preparation. We are a joinery first, so we read a cabinet the way a carpenter does — which doors come off, which edges will lift, which surface needs filling before anything is stuck to it. Interior wrapping services Dubai clients book from us start with that assessment, not with a colour chart.
Free quotation via WhatsApp photos is the quickest way in. Send the kitchen from three angles, tell us roughly how many doors and drawers there are, and we come back with a price band the same day. A free site visit follows before the price is fixed, because door counts from photographs are almost always wrong by two or three.
We cover Dubai Marina, Downtown, JVC, JLT, Dubai Hills, Arabian Ranches, Damac Hills, Springs, Mirdif and International City. Doors and drawer fronts usually come off and go back to the workshop; carcasses, walls and counters are wrapped in place with no dust and no demolition.
KITCHEN CABINET WRAPPING
Kitchens are the busiest corner of our vinyl wrapping in Dubai. Kitchen wrapping Dubai households ask about is nearly always the same job: a kitchen vinyl wrap over doors, drawer fronts and end panels that leaves the carcasses, the plumbing and the appliances exactly where they are. A kitchen cabinet wrap is a kitchen makeover without replacing anything structural, and it is finished in one to two days rather than three weeks.

BeforeAfter
Cabinet door wrapping and drawer front wrapping are priced per door and per drawer, not per kitchen, so a kitchen colour change can be staged if you want to start with the island. Handles are the detail people forget: new handles on a wrapped door cost very little and do more for the finished look than the film colour does.

WARDROBE AND CLOSET WRAPPING
Bedrooms are the quietest win in vinyl wrapping in Dubai. Wardrobe wrapping is the cheapest way to reset a bedroom. Sliding door wrapping is the most common request — the panels come out of the track, get wrapped flat on the bench and go back in the same afternoon. Hinged fronts are the same job with hinges instead of rollers.
A built-in wardrobe makeover usually means the fronts and the visible end panels only; the inside stays as it is, because nobody is paying to wrap a shelf they cannot see. A closet door wrap in a matte finish hides handprints far better than the high-gloss white that most Dubai apartments are handed over with.
DOOR AND DOOR FRAME WRAPPING
Doors are the fastest piece of vinyl wrapping in Dubai to see finished. A wooden door wrap takes the film over both faces and around all four edges so there is no seam to catch a fingernail. Door frame wrap is done separately and is what makes the job read as a new door rather than a covered one — a wrapped leaf in a white frame always looks wrapped.

BeforeAfter
Main door wrap is a different conversation. Entrance doors in apartments are often fire-rated and belong to the building, so we check the tenancy and the building rules before quoting, and we wrap only the inner face where the outer face is not ours to change.
FURNITURE AND TV UNIT WRAPPING
Loose pieces are the least expected part of vinyl wrapping in Dubai. Furniture wrapping suits anything flat, sound and worth keeping. A TV unit wrap is the most requested piece after kitchens, usually to take a gloss white media wall down to a matte oak or a charcoal. Dresser wrap, desk wrap and shelving wrap follow the same rule: if the board underneath is solid and the edges are intact, film will hold; if the board has swollen, no film will hide it and we will say so.
Pieces small enough to carry go back to the workshop, which gives a cleaner result than wrapping a desk in a room full of cables. Anything built in is wrapped where it stands, with the room sheeted and the floor protected.
COUNTERTOP, TABLE AND WALL WRAPPING
Countertops are the one part of vinyl wrapping in Dubai to think hardest about. Kitchen counter vinyl and a marble-look countertop wrap change the appearance completely, but film is not stone: it will not take a hot pan straight off the hob and it will scratch under a knife. We wrap counters for appearance and use a board, and we say so before you buy rather than after.

BeforeAfter
Table top wrapping is easier. A dining table wrap or a coffee table wrap in a textured film reads convincingly and takes daily use well, and a glass topper over it solves the heat question entirely. Wall wrapping is the other end of the scale: a feature wall vinyl, a marble-effect wall wrap or a bathroom wall wrap goes on a clean, flat, sealed wall and covers a lot of square metres for very little money.
OFFICE, RETAIL AND COMMERCIAL WRAPPING
Commercial vinyl wrapping in Dubai is usually about a rebrand that has to happen without closing. A reception desk wrap, an office furniture refresh across a floor of workstations, and lobby and lift wrapping are all done out of hours, so the space is back in use the next morning with no dust and no contractor noise during the working day.

Shop fitting wrap and retail display wrap have to survive trolleys, stock and cleaning chemicals, so the film grade goes up and the edges get sealed harder. A restaurant counter wrap gets the same treatment plus a check on the fire rating, because a wall or counter lining in a licensed food outlet is something the approving engineer will ask about.
ARCHITECTURAL FILM AND FINISHES
Architectural film and interior film are the trade names for the material behind vinyl wrapping in Dubai. The difference between a film that lasts a decade and one that lifts in a year is the adhesive and the top coat, not the picture printed on it. We work with the ranges our supplier stocks in Dubai and specify the grade to the surface — heavier film on counters and commercial work, thinner and more formable film on profiled doors.
The palette is wide: wood grain vinyl in oak and walnut, marble vinyl, matte black, white gloss, concrete look, metallic and leather texture. Performance matters as much as colour. Scratch-resistant film goes on desks and counters, waterproof film on vanities and laundry units, heat-resistant film beside ovens and hobs, and fire-rated film wherever a commercial fit-out calls for it.
Samples come to you before anything is ordered. A film that looks warm under a showroom light can read grey in a north-facing Dubai apartment, so the sample gets held against the cabinet in the room’s own lighting, not judged from a swatch book.
WRAPPING VS PAINTING VS REPLACING
Choosing vinyl wrapping in Dubai over paint is a question of surface. On a melamine or laminate cabinet, film wins: paint needs an adhesion primer, several coats and days of curing, and it still chips at the edges first. On a solid timber or already-painted door, spray painting usually wins, because film over a profiled timber panel telegraphs every bead.
Vinyl wrap vs replacing a kitchen is a question of the carcasses. If the boxes are square, the hinges are sound and the layout works, wrapping costs a fraction of a new kitchen and takes a fraction of the time. If the carcasses have swollen at the base or the layout is wrong, wrapping only buys time, and we will tell you that instead of taking the job.
We wrap over laminate, over MDF and over old vinyl routinely — wrap over old vinyl only where the existing film is still fully bonded, otherwise the old layer comes off first. Removable vinyl for rented apartments is a real option: a landlord-friendly makeover in a good film lifts cleanly with heat at the end of the tenancy and leaves the original surface as it was.
Vinyl repair is the other half of this. A rewrap of one door is cheaper than a whole kitchen, and peeling vinyl replacement on a few drawer fronts is a morning’s work. Where the lifting is at a single edge beside a dishwasher or a kettle, the cause is steam, and we move the appliance or change the film grade rather than sticking the same thing back down.

All of our vinyl wrapping in Dubai runs through the same five stages, so nothing is ordered before you have seen it and nothing is cut before the doors are counted. A standard apartment kitchen is finished in one to two days on site.

FILM STANDARDS WE SPECIFY TO
Film marketing and film data are different things, and vinyl wrapping in Dubai has to answer to the second. These are the authorities and manufacturers whose published documents decide which grade we can put on a counter, a door or a commercial wall, and how long it should last in Dubai.

VINYL WRAPPING COST IN DUBAI
Vinyl wrapping in Dubai is quoted per door, not per hour. Kitchen wrapping cost Dubai searches want a single figure, and the honest answer is that it depends on the door count and the profile. Vinyl wrap price per sq ft is the wrong unit for joinery — cabinet wrapping cost per door is what we actually quote on. These are our own published ranges, supplied and fitted.
| Item | Unit | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| Flat surfaces, standard film | per sq m | AED 120 – 200 |
| Flat surfaces, textured or wood-grain film | per sq m | AED 160 – 260 |
| Profiled or moulded surfaces | per sq m | AED 200 – 420 |
| Kitchen rewrap, standard apartment | per project | AED 3,500 – 6,500 |
| Kitchen rewrap, villa or island kitchen | per project | AED 6,500 – 14,000 |
| Wardrobe fronts, per door | each | AED 180 – 420 |
| Internal door, both faces and edges | each | AED 320 – 650 |
| Worktop in stone-effect film | per linear m | AED 280 – 550 |
| Reception desk front | per project | AED 1,800 – 6,500 |
| Office desking, per workstation | each | AED 250 – 600 |
| Removal of old film | per sq m | AED 40 – 90 |
| New handles supplied and fitted | each | AED 35 – 180 |
Free quotation via WhatsApp photos comes first, then a free site visit to count doors and check the substrate, then a fixed written price. Removal of old film and new handles are separate lines so you can see what each one is costing rather than finding them inside a rate.
VINYL WRAPPING IN DUBAI: 12 BEST EXPERT ANSWERS
How much does kitchen wrapping cost in Dubai?
Our published range is AED 3,500 to 6,500 for a standard apartment kitchen rewrap and AED 6,500 to 14,000 for a villa or island kitchen. Priced per surface, flat doors in standard film run AED 120 to 200 per square metre, textured or wood-grain film AED 160 to 260, and profiled or moulded doors AED 200 to 420 because they take far longer to form. Wardrobe fronts are AED 180 to 420 per door and internal doors AED 320 to 650 for both faces and the edges.
How long does vinyl wrap last in Dubai heat and humidity?
A quality film properly applied to a well-prepared surface holds five to ten years indoors. What shortens it in Dubai is not the outdoor heat, which the film never sees, but localised steam and heat inside the home — the door beside a kettle, the panel under an unvented dishwasher, the drawer front next to a hob. We specify a heat-resistant grade in those positions and seal the edges harder, because a failure almost always starts at an edge rather than in the middle.
Can vinyl wrap be applied over laminate or old vinyl?
Over laminate, yes, and it is the most common substrate we wrap. Over old vinyl, only where the existing film is still fully bonded everywhere — if it has lifted at one edge it will lift under the new layer too, so the old film comes off first and that is a separate line on the quotation at AED 40 to 90 per square metre. MDF, melamine and painted board all wrap well provided the surface is sound and dry.
Is vinyl wrapping cheaper than repainting or replacing?
Against replacing, comfortably. A rewrap of a standard apartment kitchen sits well below the cost of new cabinetry and takes one to two days instead of three weeks. Against repainting, it depends on the surface: on melamine and laminate, wrapping is cheaper and far more durable than paint; on solid timber or already-painted doors, spray painting usually costs less and looks better, because film over a profiled timber panel shows every bead.
Do you wrap the carcasses or only the doors?
Both, and they are priced separately. Most clients wrap doors, drawer fronts and visible end panels, because that is what is seen and it keeps the cost down. Visible carcass sides, plinths and open shelving are wrapped in place where they show. Internal shelves and box sides that are hidden behind a closed door are usually left, and we will say so rather than quote for them.
Will the wrap look like a wrap up close?
At the corners, that is where it shows. A flat door wrapped by someone who knows what they are doing is indistinguishable from a factory finish at arm’s length. What gives a poor job away is a visible seam on a return, a bubble under a handle, or film that has been trimmed short of an edge. We wrap over edges rather than up to them and hide the joint on the least-seen face.
Can I supply my own film?
Yes, and we will fit it, but the workmanship warranty then covers the application only and not the film’s performance. We would rather specify the grade ourselves because the failures we get called to are almost always a thin film on a surface that needed a heavier one.
Do you wrap countertops, and is it a good idea?
We do, and it is a compromise you should understand first. A marble-look countertop wrap transforms a kitchen visually for a fraction of a new worktop at AED 280 to 550 per linear metre. It is not stone: no hot pans direct from the hob, and a chopping board every time. On a rental or a short-term fix it makes complete sense; in a kitchen you cook in hard, we would put the money into the doors instead.
Can you wrap a rented apartment without upsetting the landlord?
That is one of the strongest cases for film. A good wrap lifts cleanly with heat at the end of a tenancy and leaves the original surface as it was, which paint does not. Get it in writing from the landlord first, keep a photograph of the original finish, and we will remove it for you at the end if you want the flat handed back exactly as taken.
How long does the work take and do we move out?
A standard apartment kitchen is one to two days on site, a villa or island kitchen two to four. Doors and drawer fronts go back to our workshop and return finished, so the messy part happens at Ras Al Khor rather than in your home. You keep the use of the kitchen throughout apart from the hours the fronts are off.
Do you do commercial wrapping out of hours?
Yes. Reception desks, retail counters, display shelving, office workstations and lift interiors are almost always done in the evening or overnight so the space trades normally the next morning. For a licensed food outlet or a managed building we check the fire rating on the film before quoting, because that is the first thing an approving engineer asks about.
What if the film lifts or bubbles later?
We come back. A bubble is usually a trapped air pocket that can be worked out or pinned and re-laid; a lifted edge means either steam or a surface that was not fully degreased, and it gets re-prepared rather than stuck back down. Peeling vinyl replacement on a few fronts is a morning’s work, and a single-door rewrap costs a fraction of redoing the kitchen.
